Surrey Street is a popular and welcoming primary school near the centre of Luton.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated 1:1 teaching assistant committed to supporting children's learning and development through high-quality education.

This will be a varied role: you will be supporting a SEN child in either KS1/KS2/EYFS on a one to one basis, including at lunchtimes. At other times you will be class based or running intervention groups.

The post is fixed term, linked to this child remaining in school.

Applicants for this public-facing post will need to demonstrate the ability to converse and provide effective help or advice, fluently in spoken English.
Do you have a passion for working with primary age children and the flexibility, skills and patience to enhance the learning experience of our pupils?

We are a friendly, inclusive school. OFSTED (June 2017) said:
Staff are proud to work at the school. Our school is a happy one where pupils from many different cultures and backgrounds work and play together in harmony.
Pupils behaviour is good. Pupils are polite, well mannered and happy.
The school offers a broad and rich curriculum.

The post is for 32.5 hours a week, 8.40am to 3.40pm, term time only.
Visits to the school are actively encouraged. Our playground has to be seen to be believed!
