Our client is an international business, delivering a unique blend of business to business (B2B) conferences and exhibitions, specialising in the Defence and Passenger Ship sectors. We’re looking for hungry and determined individuals to join our delegate sales function. The Role As Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying prospects, generating interest and securing participation of industry delegates for a wide variety of conferences and events. Analysing customer feedback, assessing their need and matching our bespoke solutions is also a key part of the role. What we need from YOU… You need to be determined to meet deadlines and achieve set targets and KPIs You should enjoy using your initiative, persuasion skills and tenacity to engage with and attract the right delegates to our events. You need to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to get your point across concisely to people of all levels of experience – particularly over the phone. You need to be organised and professional, as well as working proactively and using your initiative. Some experience in sales, business development or lead generation is preferred but not essential; although, you must have evidence of your enjoyment of selling. In return, we offer a good starting salary of £20,000 per annum and a realistic OTE of £28,500, made up of monthly commission (which is uncapped) and quarterly bonuses.
