About the role
The Society recently implemented a bold new brand identity and is creating a new Marketing and Communications directorate, in recognition of how vital a role the function will play in galvanising people behind the growing movement for change and meeting the ambitious objectives set out in the New Deal in Dementia, our new five-year strategy.
This pivotal post reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and is a member of the Marketing and Communications Team. It supports the director in ensuring that members of the Marketing and Communications teams are engaged and are active participants in the work of the whole directorate and the wider Society.
In addition to providing administrative support to the director, including diary management, the role supports the implementation of Marketing and Communications initiatives. As applicable, it will also lead and/or contribute to projects agreed in the directorate Business Plan.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, be experienced in leading projects, have demonstrably strong written communication skills and be technologically literate. They will have excellent judgement, discretion and strong interpersonal skills and a confident approach in dealing with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders to board level.
This is a key role; one where the post holder can make a very real and lasting impact on how the directorate operates, supports and shapes the work of the organisation in playing a key role in uniting against dementia.
