Work Based Assessor - Electrotechnical (Full time) - Barnfield College
Due to the expansion of our flagship Apprenticeship department an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Work Based Assessor delivering Electro technical apprenticeships, within a highly enthusiastic team. The post would suit an existing assessor or a candidate wishing to progress into a training environment.
You will be responsible for assessing and managing the progress of each apprentice ensuring a high quality service and timely completion of their full framework. You will manage the apprentices from initial assessment through to completion, working with employers, curriculum departments and functional skills to maintain high success rates. You will also have targets for growing of the apprenticeship provision within your own area.
You will hold a Level 3 17th Edition Regulations electro technical qualification and ideally you will hold an assessor qualification (A1 or CAVA) or be willing to work towards achieving this in your first year of employment.
You must have good communication skills and be willing to engage with employers and to provide guidance and support for the learner to achieve their NVQ.
The role requires a high level of professional knowledge, experience and understanding of the subject area and the successful candidate will have broad experience of working within the electrical industry.
