  • Responding to RFP's as part of the bid process, including writing the RFP documents
  • Liaising with the relevant internal parties to create bespoke product solutions for potential users
  • Developing existing products to evolve the offering and increase participation
  • Research existing markets, and potential new markets to sell IBA products to
  • Project manage the bid process and co-ordinate responsibilities within the IBA team
  • Product develop on new products through research and development of the financial markets
  • To be a key participant contact for particular products, ensuring that their needs are understood, met and surpassed
  • To be a key influencer externally
  • To seek out new business partners and opportunities
  • To be able to offer advice on how best to align IBA with market changes and regulations and to offer problem solving advice to external bodies.


  • Previous consultative selling or product development experience is essential
  • Bid-writing/tender documentation experience is desired
  • Knowledge or understanding of the following products - derivatives, money markets, commodities funding or debt insurance would be an advantage
  • Understanding and experience in complex sales cycles from research, to tendering and account management of a new client
  • A general understanding of financial markets, understanding of the gold market would be advantageous but not essential
  • A lobbying background would also be desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Persuasive, confident, polished and logical thinker
  • Confidence and experience in dealing with senior people
  • Motivated and self-starter
